Originally from Northern New Jersey, Caitlin’s passion for the outdoors began at an early age while helping her dad and Opa (Grandfather) in the garden. Raised in a family that cherished the beauty of nature and the joy of hands-on learning, she developed a profound appreciation for how plants and landscapes intertwine to create a harmonious world. Each seed she planted sparked a connection to the earth, inspiring her to share the magic of nature with others.

Caitlin's journey in the green industry has encompassed a wide range of experiences. She has worked on conservation projects at a garden center and even cared for sled dogs and wild mustangs. Through her various endeavors, Caitlin finds inspiration in nature while working with gardens, landscapes, and farms, including exploration of the deep connections between humans, animals, and the environment.

Now, she applies her knowledge to revitalizing landscapes and creating spaces where people and nature thrive together. She believes that every outdoor space has the potential to foster a sense of peace and connection, and she’s passionate about making that a reality.

When she’s not working, Caitlin enjoys paddleboarding, helping out at a friend’s petting farm, or exploring Northern Virginia’s vibrant restaurant scene. Whether on land or water, she’s always seeking new ways to embrace the outdoors and share its beauty with others.

Shannon grew up in Northern Virginia with a strong appreciation for the outdoors and an early curiosity about the natural world. Over time, that interest developed into a passion for plants and landscapes and led her to pursue work in the landscape industry. She enjoys the balance between creativity and horticulture and approaches landscapes as both designed spaces and living systems.

Before joining Rossen Landscape, Shannon gained hands-on experience working in production facilities cultivating ornamental and specialty collection plants, as well as supporting public garden environments. These roles helped her develop a practical understanding of plant care and reinforced the importance of considering site conditions, plant health, and long-term performance when making design and maintenance decisions.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys powerlifting, spending time on sewing projects, drawing, and hiking with her dog.
